The 5nd annual Surly Open had great weather and was a great time as always.  No that’s not a typo in the name.  For the 3rd year, whoever was in charge of updating the graphics on the discs from 2nd to 3rd only changed the number resulting in the “3nd Annual…” and the tradition has continued on ever since.  We started on the 8th hole of the beautiful Blue Ribbon Pine’s Disc Golf course and enjoyed an afternoon of beer and fun.  Because this year added an ultimate tournament in the center of the course, some holes were skipped so the disc golfers wouldn’t be throwing over the ultimate game in progress.  The pig roast was great and once again I went home winning a gift certificate (this time to Sea Salt) making me 4 for 4 at The Open.  Always a great event I look forward to attending next year.
