Each year Town Hall Brewery makes their fresh hopped brew from hops picked and shipped overnight to be thrown in the brew kettle less than 24 hours after being picked from the bine.  The hops change each year allowing the patrons to enjoy different flavors each year.  This years batch was suppose to be Simcoe but the grower neglected to contact Town Hall when the hops shipped and they sat at FedEx over the weekend and became moldy.  The grower quickly corrected the problem but at that time the only harvest remaining was Chinook hops.  No problem.  The Chinook hops made for a wonderful fresh hop brew.

In addition to their own fresh hopped ale, Town Hall also has several other fresh hop beers on for people to try.  Surly Wet, case Founders Harvest Ale, Deschutes Fresh Hop Mirror Pond, and Two Brothers Heavy Handed IPA are all available by the pint or as a wet hop sampler.  Sadly those looking for growlers of the Town Hall Fresh Hop 2011 are out of luck.  50 growlers were filled, each with a hop cone in the bottle, and were quickly sold out by 6pm on the day of release.  No problem, stop in and enjoy all the fresh hopped goodness on tap now.
