Gotta love fresh hopped beers.  Skipping the whole drying process, fresh hops are taken directly from the bine and into the brew kettle while they’re still fresh and wet.  Fresh and resinous with some nice light vegetative notes, Port Brewing High Tide Fresh Hop IPA is bright with hops and a decent malt bill to help balance things a bit.  It is too bad that fresh hopped beers can only be made once a year around the hop harvest in the fall.  It’d be wonderful to have them available more often but at least it gives us something to look forward to in a style that quickly comes and goes each year.
