Can of Drekker Brewing. and Barrel Theory Raingasms laying next to a glass filled with beer, on a wooden table.

Raingasms is a collaboration between two absolute haze factories, Drekker Brewing and Barrel Theory. Each brewery brought one of their flagship hazy IPAs to the table, Drekker’s Ectogasm and Barrel Theory’s Rain Drops, and mashed them together into what can only be described as a full-blown haze hero.

Raingasms

Brewed with Citra, Mosaic, Citra Cryo, and Mosaic Cryo hops, Raingasms checks all the right boxes before you even take a sip. It weighs in at 7% ABV and pours a hazy yellow wheat color into the glass. A solid finger of bright white foam forms on the pour, slowly settling while leaving a persistent cap on top and sticky lace painted along the walls of the glass.

The aroma is pure hop indulgence. Big, expressive fruity hops jump out immediately with loads of citrus. Lemon and orange lead the charge, followed by classic juicy fruit notes. As it opens up, you’ll pick up touches of pineapple, apricot, and just a hint of that dank edge that keeps things interesting and balanced.

On the palate, the hops don’t hold back. Big, juicy flavors hit the tongue right away. Ripe melon, pineapple, papaya, and more of that familiar juicy fruit character come through with each sip. The mouthfeel is soft and smooth, but there’s still a slight hop bite on the finish that reminds you this is a proper IPA and not just hop juice. That little edge keeps it from feeling flabby or overly sweet and makes you want to go back for another sip.

Orgasmo

Raingasms is a standout example of what happens when two breweries at the top of their haze game come together and play to their strengths. The aromas and flavors are massive, expressive, and dialed in, yet the beer remains dangerously easy to drink. It’s the kind of IPA that disappears from the glass faster than you expect, and before you know it, you’re reaching for another pour.

This is a wonderful collaboration from two of the best brewers in the haze craze, and a beer that deserves a spot near the top of any hazy IPA fan’s must-drink list.
