Pumpkin beers are slowly disappearing as the cold winter months begin but there’s still some great ones around including the Pumpkin Ale at Barley John’s Brew Pub. This one is much more pumpkin than pumpkin spice (just the way I prefer it). Light notes of pumpkin fruit give a nice sweetness to this medium-light brew. It’d pair well with Thanksgiving dinner or almost any meal really as it remains easily drinkable without the large amounts of spice that many pumpkin brews contain.
