Each year with the return of Festivus at Town Hall Brewery, they release Grinch’s Grog. The grog is an American Strong Pale featuring Simcoe hops, lightly filtered to preserve hop flavor and aroma. The light hazy gives this brew a nice golden hue in the light. This year the brewers made a little change to the Grinch’s Grog which was to dry-hop with just Simcoe rather than a late hop addition. It resulted in a little less sharp hop bite from previous years that had an almost light minuteness to it. After numerous pints since this brew went on a couple weeks before Christmas, enjoy it equally as much as previous years. At 6.0% ABV it goes down nicely and has been my Free Beer Hour goto beer right now.
