Witch Hunt is an organization that creates beer education opportunities and advocates for marginalized genders in the brewing community. Once again, Witch Hunt and BlackStack Brewing have joined together to brew Dear Mama, a double dry-hopped IPA dedicated to all the wonderful mothers that touch all of our lives.
Dear Mama DDH IPA
Witch Hunt and BlackStack Brewing first made Dear Mama last year, and it returns again to celebrate the amazing women we call mothers.
It pours a brilliant golden yellow with a bubbly head of white foam atop. The foam holds for quite some time and leaves a white ring around the glass once it finally settles.
Huge sweet orange citrus aroma with notes of grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, and juicy mango. Wonderfully delightful to sit and smell for some time, but let’s get to taste.
Massive orange citrus. Sweet, not acidic. Grapefruit and ripe mango. Super smooth and hugely juicy from a blend of Citra, Triumph, Azacca, & Sabro hops from Yakima Chief Hops, a long with malt from Briess Malt & Country Malt Group. Fruity citrus continues through into the aftertaste, where it dries out nicely.
