Brewed every year on December 6th, Samichlaus Bier is a wonderful dopplebock that can age for years in your cellar and only becomes better with each passing year. This bottle from 2004 tasted great years later when opened in the winter of ’10. It pairs great with a heavy meal or dessert and the 14% ABV is still noticeable even with 6 years of age on it. Vintage bottles can be found frequently at many beer stores so grab a couple and enjoy one now and pack a couple away for a few years from now.
