Trust The Process

Known for their hazy hop hits, BlackStack Brewing partnered with the king of the bine, Yakima Chief Hops to create Trust The Process. The pelletizing folks at Yakima came out to brew this beer and they certainly hit it with plenty of lupulin love.

This double dry-hopped double IPA features some of the stars from the most recent harvest, Idaho 7, Idaho 7 Cryo, Simcoe, America Noble, and just a dash of Sabro.

It pours a hazy golden straw with a foamy white head forming. The foam slowly settles and leaves sticky lacing on the walls of the pint glass.

Big tropical fruit aroma. Sweet grapefruit, lemon, ripe crushed pineapple, mango, and just a touch of strawberry fill the nose with each sniff. There’s just a hint of melon and papaya in there too.

Smooth malt upfront is quickly overtaken by the juicy hop flavors. Mango, melon, light peach, and plenty of citrus with sweet lemon and grapefruit coming through nicely. There’s no bitterness, just piles of juicy hop flavor balanced by enough body to support the double hop dose. Tropical notes drift on in the aftertaste.

Peak Process For Peak Hopness

BlackStack Brewing has haze for days. Thanks to their relationship with Yakima Chief Hops, they’ve got a constant supply for their hazy hits.
