Barrel Theory DDH Rain Drops with Vic Secret & Zamba

Glass of beer and crowler of Barrel Theory DDH Rain Drops with Vic Secret & Zamba.

The Barrel Theory brew crew has always crushed it with Rain Drops, their hazy IPA action. The double dry-hopped iterations are always interesting and delicious and this one is no different. Here’s a look at DDH Rain Drops with Vic Secret & Zamba hops.

DDH Rain Drops

Vic Secret is a lovely fruity and flavorful hop and Zamba is a newer variety that also packs tons of tropical fruit fun. Doubled down in their already fruity haze of Rain Drops and you’ve got a recipe for tons of tropical taste.

It pours a golden yellow, opaque with haze. A frothy white head forms and slowly settles, leaving layers of lace painting the walls of the snifter.

The nose is full of apricot, pineapple, and mango aroma. Juicy and fresh, far better than a tiki drink.

Take a sip and your mouth is filled with juicy ripe pineapple, mango, and a touch of grapefruit. There’s just a hint of bitterness in the end and the mouthfeel is soft and slightly creamy.

Making It Rain

Rain Drops is an awesome hazy IPA as it stands, but it’s also a great platform for different dry-hopping experiments. Big fruity hop fun shines through and the lack of bitterness makes for easy enjoyment.

Drop into the Barrel Theory taproom and check out the latest double dry-hopped version of this tasty brew. And be sure to grab some crowlers when you go.
